Elephants have fascinated me for as long as I can remember. A safari trip to Tanzania to see them in their native setting was a dream come true and the impetus for this piece.  I hope the two sides of the elephant will inspire thought and conversation about conservation and the environment. The piece was selected as the 2011 People’s Choice award in the Gallery Without Walls program and purchased by the city of Lake Oswego, Oregon.
