This mantle and supporting uprights is in a private home. The upright support forms are an obvious reference to flames. Both flanking flame forms are welded to a “bead-board” that provides an architectural reference and is a linear counter point to the organic flame shapes. The cross panel between the uprights consists of roundels implying the ends of cut logs. The mantle spans the full width of the wall section and has a bullnose edge. The combined elements are unified by the tile surround and stone hearth.
