Powder Coated Mild Steel                  105.25”X40” without frame

This gate was a commission for a client in Bellingham Washington.  I was given complete freedom to design and was extremely happy with the result, as was the client. The challenge was to address the functional need limiting entry and still allow light and have a pleasing composition of both positive and negative shapes. The gate can be locked with a deadbolt, swings effortlessly to a soft rubber stop and provides security to a small courtyard where the owner has a collection of African art.
